PROGRAM PURPOSE
The ATHLEAD Workshop is designed to develop youth athletes into equitable, emotionally intelligent leaders on and off the court. Rooted in the values of Project VOYCE, this program merges sportsmanship, leadership, mental health, and cultural awareness, empowering athletes to lead through integrity, empathy, and equity.
PROGRAM GOALS & OBJECTIVES
Leadership Development – Equip youth with communication, self-discipline, and advocacy skills that translate both in sports and life.
Equity Awareness – Help athletes understand and apply equitable practices in their teams and communities.
Mental Health & Wellness – Integrate conversations around stress, balance, injury recovery, and self-care.
Community Connection – Build bridges between youth athletes, coaches, and community role models.
Workforce Readiness through Sport – Translate teamwork, responsibility, and leadership into transferable life and career skills.
